How to choose art for your home

I recently stumbled across a great article, describing best practices for curating your home with artwork: https://www.homesandgardens.com/news/how-to-choose-art-for-your-home-220802

As a photographer, I am often times consumed with the shot, including capturing photos that align with my artist statement. However, this is only 50% of the entire picture. The flip side of the coin and more importantly, is how and where artwork can be incorporated into your home. 

I found number 10 on the list to be something that many could relate to:

#10: Don't Compromise: 

"If one partner loves a piece and the other doesn’t, let them have their piece and they’ll let you have yours. As soon as you start to compromise on art, you’ll buy something that neither likes enough which will only lead to disappointment"
