Session Info:

Mark's goal is for your final edits to exceed all expectations and for your true personality to shine through. His photography style relies on integrating artificial light with natural light to produce images that have a bit more flair for the dramatic.  His preferred setting is outdoors, but he is equipped to shoot indoors as well. In terms of location, Mark's preference is to shoot in Battery Park City, as he knows the area well. However, he is willing to travel to other parts of New York City and will location-scout at no additional cost, as he believes this is a quality control. Turn around time from the date of the photo shoot to receiving your edited pictures will take up to 2 weeks, depending on the type of shoot. If you require edited photos in a tighter time frame, Mark will ensure that your request is accommodated.

Corporate Headshots

Here is the A to Z of the entire process:

1) Agree on a time, location and photo package. Mark will offer guidelines on what to wear and clothing to avoid, customized to the location, as well as general tips about preparation.

2) When you show up, you'll get right to shooting.

3) Shoots last from 30 minutes to 1 hour, based on the package; but can go longer if neither party is in a time crunch, and of course, weather permitting.  During this time, 50-100 pictures will be taken, utilizing different backgrounds, expressions, and poses.

4) A model release form will be signed, which essentially: i) grants Mark permission to share your photos on his website and social media outlets and ii) asks that you agree to give him photo credit if you share your photo(s) on social media.

5) Payment is due.

6) Please allow up to 1 week for editing your photos. This will include skin softening, distracting element removal, color optimization, sharpening and other advanced photo editing techniques that will make your final edits stand out. Once finished, a password protected link to your high resolution, edited photos in jpeg format will be emailed to you. These will be marked "proof" across the center of the image.

7) Mark will edit your photos. He doesn't batch process, so each photo is uniquely edited. This is a time-consuming process but Mark believes it adds immensely to the overall quality of the final product and sets him apart from other photographers. Take time to review your finalized photos and feel free to e-mail him with any questions, concerns or anything at all that you are less than 100% happy about. Once you have made your selection(s), the "proof" watermark will be removed and your photos become fully downloadable from the website.

What is included in the picture?

Typically, the shot will include everything down to mid-chest level. Mark will make use of a variety of different backgrounds and poses to keep your options open in terms of the 'look' you think is most appropriate for your business. Stylistically, he tends to capture images with extensive background blurring.

Family portraits

Sessions may last for up to 2 hours. Mark has 2 young kids of his own, so he can appreciate the concept of nap schedules, tantrums, sibling "disagreements" as well as attention spans.  These are candid photos, intended to capture the special moments spent together as a family. Naturally occurring expressions are priceless; they also remind us of life's fleeting nature and our children's innocence and genuine happiness.
