This was an incredibly exciting photography opportunity! Not only did I get to shoot family portraits for perhaps the most photogenic family in all of Boston, but was able to do so at an historic indoor venue; Boston's Fairmont Copley, built in 1912 and constructed on the grounds of the old Boston Museum of Fine Arts.
Several of the ballrooms were not only open, but completely empty AND usable; rooms like these I would imagine are normally reserved for weddings or important conferences. It was a privilege to get to shoot there. The staff was even kind enough to turn the lights on for us!
If I had to guess, I'd say the one who appreciated the open space most was a very charming and energetic 2 year old. She explored a lot of terrain and it was a blast getting to capture all of that enthusiasm and genuine happiness. Her parents were amazing and somehow were able to transform the Fairmont into a giant indoor playground experience. So many sweet moments were captured. Here are only a few.
