A weather app check indicated storms were heading towards Marblehead (does anyone else check the radar several times a day?). Heading home from Boston, the northwest skies started darkening. I was hoping to arrive home and catch the storm incoming, but not that unexpectedly, traffic slowed to a halt near Revere as an impressive wall cloud started inching its way closer. Its leading edge had low, dark clouds with small tornado-like extensions beneath them. Behind it, an eerie dark gray with hints of yellow- this was going to be a wild one. The storm skirted north, exiting Marblehead just as I arrived at home, with pockets of sun starting to break through. I grabbed my drone and camera equipment and knew the clock was ticking on an incredible display of light. Having arrived at Riverhead Beach, a double rainbow was stamped across the northern skies. I had to include a few shots of one of my favorite subjects in town: Racer's Row. Stay tuned for the next series, which will focus solely on Racers Row.
