Originally from upstate NY, Mark’s interest in photography started at a young age, intrigued by his father's 1970’s Pentax. He had a monthly subscription to National Geographic and an inherent love of nature and being outdoors, which would one day fuel a lifelong passion for photography. He went on to become a scientist in the Boston area, having spent a decade and a half supporting efforts to discover new drugs for various clinical indications. However, much of his spare time was dedicated to photography, particularly cityscapes, and the self-taught journey had begun. Mark and his family moved to New York City in 2015, where he carved out a niche doing family photos, headshots and events, including celebrity captures. After many photo shoots, he would look forward to exploring the city later in the evening, locating quiet areas with great views to take photos from. That calling has persisted to the present day. Having moved back to the Boston area in 2018, Mark's photos of cities and towns has garnered commercial interest, having formed close ties with many local businesses. He is most inspired by the works of Steve McCurry and Peter Lik, and now strives to capture the beauty of Boston's North Shore, through thematic shoots, with prints available in a variety of formats.
