Professional photographic print
Printed by Bay Photo on professional Lustre photographic paper. Prints up to 24 × 36 inches include an additional protective coating. Larger prints are produced without the additional coating.
Archival white mat
100% cotton, lignin-free and acid-free mat board is included with every standard framed presentation.
UV-protective glass
Clear UV-protective glazing is included with standard framing. Museum glass is available by custom request.
Professionally finished
Mounting and assembly, dust cover, wire hanger and finishing labor are included.

An overhead view of Marblehead’s Town Class sailboats, arranged in a colorful line across the harbor. The geometry, color, and spacing of the boats give the scene an almost designed quality, turning one of Marblehead’s most historic racing fleets into a minimalist seaside composition.
Artist Note
This was one of my first drone photographs, and one of the reasons I bought a drone in the first place was to make this exact kind of image. From above, the boats looked almost as if they had been positioned by an artist, with their colors, shapes, and spacing forming a natural pattern across the water.
These are Town Class sailboats, a 16½-foot one-design dory first designed in 1932 by Marcus Lowell. Marblehead adopted the Town Class for racing in 1936, and the fleet is now recognized as the oldest continuously raced fleet in Marblehead. More than 2,000 Townies have been built over the years, and the class remains an active part of Marblehead’s sailing culture today.
For me, the overhead perspective was the whole point. I wanted the photograph to feel simple and graphic, almost like a seaside minimalist study.
