An intense sunrise unfolds over Fort Beach in Marblehead as a skateboarder pauses to take it all in. The saturated sky, shoreline, and lone figure turn a familiar morning scene into something that feels almost suspended in time.
Artist Note
This was one of those incredible Fort Beach sunrises where the colors kept intensifying by the minute. People were already out and about, and for a brief stretch the sky became so dramatic that it seemed to stop just about everyone in their tracks, including this skateboarder, who paused to take in the scene. I love moments like this because they are so energizing. Even at sunrise, a scene like this can feel like the best caffeine substitute.
