An aerial view of Castle Rock in Marblehead, where sunlight, surf, and shifting water patterns come together in a scene full of movement. The light brings out the greens in the water, the bright white foam, and the natural textures left behind by the waves.
Artist Note
This has become one of my favorite photographs. I took my son with me that day. He was 5 at the time, and we watched the drone footage together as it came in. He was excited to see it, and I was right there with him. For this shot, the light absolutely made the image. I loved the way it brought out the greens, the frothy white highlights, and the wave patterns that somehow felt both random and perfectly placed. The whole scene had so much energy, and it definitely had both of us pretty giddy.
