A snow-covered Vermont scene with drifts piled high around a small structure tucked among the trees. Lingering fog and fresh snowfall soften the landscape, making the building feel almost hidden within its surroundings.
Artist Note
Oh what a scene. When I think of winter in Vermont, I think of something like this. I had driven past this spot many times before, but on this particular morning the conditions completely changed it. Snow had piled up from the storm, the drifts were high, the trees were loaded with snow, and a bit of fog was still hanging around. The building looked like a true winter escape, a hidden place that blended right into the landscape.
